Meet Michael J. Hornback

Experience and expertise are two of the most valuable things to consider when it comes to legal representation. Oftentimes, you will find attorneys with one or the other, but due to the team-based nature we employ at Reich, Jumbeck, Stole & Reeb, we are able to offer both.

Michael J. Hornback, J.D., M.B.A., has deep roots in the area, having grown up in Frankfort and attended Lincoln-Way Community High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Juris Doctorate from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, and later earned his Master of Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Before pursuing a legal career, Michael worked in retail banking management and financial planning and founded a small business in the high-performance automotive sector.

During his time at DePaul Law School, Michael specialized in corporate litigation and intellectual property, serving as Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Arts, Technology & Intellectual Property, and contributing as an author. He was also actively involved in Phi Alpha Delta and coached the Mock Trial Team, competing nationally in Washington D.C.

Prior to joining Reich, Jumbeck, Stole & Reeb, Michael’s practice encompassed complex commercial litigation (class action defense), statutory compliance, catastrophic loss defense, and medical malpractice defense. He is poised to become an NACVA-accredited Certified Valuations Analyst and serves as an adjunct professor of Business Law at Joliet Junior College.

At Reich, Jumbeck, Stole & Reeb, Michael focuses on Family Law and Divorce Litigation, with a particular emphasis on complex financial matters, business valuations, and accounting.
