Established date of spousal maintenance prior to January 1, 2019, will show the spousal maintenance subtracted from the gross income amount entered above.

This amount will be added to the gross income amount entered above for the retired/disabled parent. If the retired/disabled parent is determined to be the obligor, he/she will receive a credit in this amount against the calculated child support amount.

Only answer Yes if you pay support for additional presumed, acknowledged, or adjudicated children (i.e. children for whom you are legally responsible, and who are not included in this estimate), but do not have an order for support ordering you to pay this amount.

Then, enter the amount of support you actually pay and how often this amount is paid. If unknown, leave the SUPPORT AMOUNT blank and do not select a frequency.

Note: The calculator uses the individual's income to determine 75% of the support the parent should pay under child support guidelines. This amount is only used when it is less than the amount the parent actually pays to support other children.

If health insurance is provided by the State, select State of Illinois. No further information is necessary.

If health insurance is currently provided by you or the other parent, select the applicable option.

If the cost of insurance coverage for the children in this estimate is known, select INDIVIDUAL and enter the cost of the insurance and how often this amount is paid.

If the amount to provide insurance coverage for the children in this estimate is unknown, meaning only the amount to provide coverage for the entire family is known, select FAMILY, enter this cost, how frequently it is paid, and select the total number of people for whom health insurance is being provided for this amount.

If the answer is Yes, and if the cost to purchase insurance coverage for the children in this estimate is known, select INDIVIDUAL and enter the cost of the insurance and how often this amount would need to be paid. If the cost to purchase insurance coverage for the children in this estimate is unknown, meaning only the amount to provide coverage for the entire family is known, select FAMILY, enter this cost, how frequently it would need to be paid and select the total number of people for whom health insurance would be provided for this amount.

The estimator will then determine whether the health insurance would be affordable and whether each parent may be responsible for contributing toward this expense. Affordable is defined as five percent (5%) of gross. In order for the parents to be ordered to contribute toward this expense he/she must have a net income of at least one-hundred-thirty-three percent (133%) of the current Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Answer YES if you pay child care expenses in order for you to maintain employment, to attend educational or vocational training, or to search for employment.

Basic school and extracurricular expenses are included in the child support amount. This section is only for extraordinary school and/or extracurricular expenses that are intended to enhance the educational, athletic, social, or cultural development of the children.
