Meet Laura I. Miroballi

Coming from a family of divorce and being a stepmom, I have the ability to bring a different perspective to these types of matters. That combined with my passion for helping people in these circumstances understand the process, and my desire to reach the best possible outcome for my client make me a good advocate for you.

Laura I. Miroballi, a native of Orland Park, graduated from Carl Sandburg High School before earning her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Economics from Michigan State University. During her time as an undergraduate, Laura was involved in residence hall government, a member of the Honors College, and worked multiple jobs to finance her education. She later returned to Illinois, residing in Will County, and earned her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, in 2007. While in law school, Laura was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta and the Brehon Society and completed a judicial externship for a family court judge in Pinellas County, Florida.

After graduating from John Marshall, Laura joined an Orland Park firm specializing in divorce, paternity, and custody matters in Cook and Will County. She then practiced family law, adoption, and real estate at a large Will County firm, serving clients in Cook, Will, Kendall, DuPage, Kane, Kankakee, and Grundy counties. As an associate attorney at Reich, Jumbeck, Stole & Reeb, L.L.P., Laura focuses solely on family law, addressing issues such as allocation of decision-making and parenting time, child support, maintenance, and property division. She also serves as a mediator and Guardian ad Litem.

Laura’s personal experience with her parents’ divorce at the age of 14 provides her with a unique perspective on the difficulties involved. She is married with two stepchildren, giving her additional insight into blended families and effective post-divorce co-parenting.

Laura has been twice elected as a Trustee for Frankfort Township, following her initial appointment in 2015. She is the treasurer and vice president of her Homeowner’s Association and the Treasurer of the Will County Women’s Bar Association. In her limited free time, Laura enjoys attending concerts and exploring new cities with her family and two dogs, Jameson and Rocky.
